What is a Google Business Profile and why does it matter?
A Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) is the listing that appears in Google Maps and the local pack — the map block at the top of search results. For local service businesses, it's often the first thing a potential customer sees. An optimized profile with strong reviews, accurate info, and regular activity ranks higher and generates more calls.
How long does it take to rank in the Google local pack?
It depends on your market and how competitive it is. In less competitive areas, a well-optimized profile can move into the local pack within 4–8 weeks. In competitive markets like Toronto, it takes longer and requires consistent work — posts, reviews, citations, and on-site signals all compound over time.
Do I lose access to my GBP if I stop working with you?
No. You are always the owner of your Google Business Profile. We work as managers — we can post, respond to reviews, and update info, but we can't remove your ownership or lock you out. If you end the engagement, we remove our manager access and the profile stays yours.
Can you help if my GBP was suspended?
Yes. GBP suspension is one of the more painful things that can happen to a local business — you disappear from Google Maps completely. We handle the reinstatement process, which involves video verification or identity verification depending on Google's requirements. Most agencies won't touch suspension cases; we do.
