About this tool

What the scan actually checks.

The scan runs Google Lighthouse against the URL you enter and reports the four scores it produces: performance, SEO, accessibility, and best practices. It then pulls your Core Web Vitals — largest contentful paint, cumulative layout shift, interaction to next paint, and total blocking time.

Where those numbers come from matters, so the report says. If Google has enough real Chrome traffic for your page or your domain, you get field data from the Chrome UX Report, which is what Google grades you on. If it doesn't, you get a lab estimate from a single test run, and the report labels it as such. A new or low-traffic site will usually see lab numbers only.

The rest is read straight out of your HTML: whether structured data is present, whether the page has exactly one H1, whether a meta description exists, how long the title and description run, whether the site is served over HTTPS, and whether a mobile viewport tag is set.
